Gili Meno, the quiet and peaceful middle island of the Gilis, is more than just stunning beaches and sunsets. Under the clear turquoise waters lies a magical underwater world full of colorful marine life and amazing coral gardens. Whether you’re new to diving or already have some experience, here are five must-visit dive sites around Gili Meno that offer unforgettable underwater moments:

1. Turtle City
Just like the name says—this spot is all about turtles! It’s one of the best places to see green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles swimming around or chilling on the coral. The water here is not too deep, and the current is usually gentle, making it perfect for beginners and those who want a relaxed dive with guaranteed turtle sightings. Don’t forget your camera—these turtles are real superstars!

2. Meno Wall
Meno Wall is a favorite for many divers—and for good reason. It’s a beautiful underwater cliff covered in colorful corals and home to loads of sea creatures. You might spot little reef fish zipping around, or even a white-tip reef shark taking a nap at the bottom. The current can vary, but most days it’s easy enough for newer divers while still exciting for those with more experience.

3. Meno Slope
This dive site has a slow, gentle slope that makes it super comfortable to explore. It’s like taking a stroll through a vibrant underwater park. You’ll see coral gardens, sandy patches, and all kinds of fish like angelfish, parrotfish, and maybe even a turtle or a stingray passing by. It’s calm, colorful, and perfect for a laid-back dive.

4. Bounty Wreck
The Bounty Wreck is an old sunken pier that’s now full of life. Corals and sponges have taken over, and schools of fish like snapper and sweetlips love to hang out here. It’s also a great place for spotting small, funky sea creatures if you’re into macro photography. It’s not too deep, so it’s great fun for beginners too!

5. Deep Turbo
Feeling adventurous? Deep Turbo is a deeper dive site with stronger currents—but that’s what makes it exciting. The moving water brings in bigger fish like tuna, trevally, and sometimes even reef sharks. You’ll dive around deeper reefs and underwater valleys. This one’s best for more experienced divers, but if you’re up for it, it can be the most thrilling dive of them all!

Whether it’s your first dive or your fiftieth, Gili Meno has something for everyone. Always dive with a guide, stay safe, and treat the ocean with love and care. Dive in, explore, and enjoy the magic of this underwater paradise!
